Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
Systemic family therapist
After studying medicine at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, my “practical year” took me to the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and the State University of New York, Buffalo.
After completing my doctorate in neurology, I received comprehensive and well-founded child and adolescent psychiatric / psychiatric training at the VITOS Clinic Riedstadt (KJP) and the VITOS Clinic Hadamar (adult psychiatry / forensics) from 1993 onwards. I completed this in 1997 with a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry.
In addition to my job, I completed further training in child and youth therapy at Rhein-Main-e.V. (First procedure in depth psychological psychotherapy, second procedure for behavioral therapy, additional procedure for autogenic training and hypnosis) and has been a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy since 1999.
For the first time from 1998 to 2000 and again from 2007 to today I work in the social psychiatric center of Dr. Nawid Peseschkian as an employed specialist in a multi-professional team. I was able to expand my systemic focus through further training as a systemic-integrative couple and family therapist (WISPO) and have been certified by the DGSF (German Society for Systemic Therapy and Family Therapy) since 2001.
From 2001 to 2007 I was a medical assistant in the MTK clinics in Hofheim in the area of adult psychiatry and psychosomatics, initially in an inpatient setting and then in the psychiatric institute outpatient clinic (PIA). Thus I have extensive experience in the integrative and cross-methodological treatment of patients of all ages.
As part of our practice, I take on supervisory tasks in our team and value continuous personal supervision, regular training and further education, as well as participation in intervision and medical quality circles.
